Palm Sunday — beginning of Holy Week

Since the Gospel of Palm Sunday was the reading of  the Passion and Death of Our Lord, to which  which we all listened with affection, uniting ourselves to Our Lord’s sufferings, there will be no Stations for the Cross this Sunday evening.

The crowds welcomes Jesus on Palm Sunday morning

This is the most sacred week in the Church’s liturgical year as we recall the Last Supper, the Passion and Death of Our Saviour and the glory of Easter Sunday. It is the fulfilment of all our Lenten devotions—our prayers, alms-giving and penances. We prepared during these past six weeks of Lent to share with Our Lord these final three days of his life when he suffered so much for us, and rose triumphantly from the dead Please come to the Holy Week services as a family, and by your example teach your children Christ’s message of love for us, a love that brought him to the cross:

“I am come that all may have life”.

Your presence at the Holy Week Services will bring many graces and blessings from Almighty God on yourself, your home and our parish
