Charity registration No. SC002876   Sunday March 4th. 2012 1. As we approach the sacred host, we are asked to bow in reverence to our Lord’s presence in the Eucharist 2. Our hands are to form a throne for the Blessed Sacrament, left hand on top of right hand. 3. We should then stand aside, receive the Blessed Sacrament, and only then move away. We should not turn away and receive the Blessed Sacrament as we are moving from the altar, for this shows less reverence to the Eucharist. The Eucharistic ministers who hold the chalice will stand well to the  side to leave sufficient space. 4. If you receive Holy Communion under both kinds, you again bow before the Precious Blood of Our Lord before receiving the chalice If everyone makes a serious effort to fulfil these liturgical gestures in reverence to Our Lord, it will help us all to increase our devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. Many already do this. Reminder from the Bishop on the manner of receiving Holy Communion Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Main Menu Notices Page 4 Page 5 Page 6
