We offer our sincere sympathy to Norma Nicolson whose husband Lachie died peacefully in the Belford Hospital last Saturday
morning after such a brave and courageous fight during his long illness. We also include in our sympathy and prayers
Lachie’s large extended family who were very devoted to him and supportive during his illness.
It was one of the biggest funerals at St. Margaret’s for a very long time, for although Lachie was a very unassuming
person, he was extremely popular with everyone because of his innocent life-style, friendliness and humour.
He was a member of Lochaber shinty team for many years, and made many friends through the sport.
Members of the team were present at the Mass, and afterwards dressed in their colours, and with their shinty sticks,
accompanied.the cortege to the bridge.
We also welcomed Norma’s son, Paul, who flew in from Taiwan to support his mother and comfort her in her loss.
Lachie and Norma spent a fortnight in Taiwan with Paul before Christmas.
May Lachie’s good soul rest in peace
Sympathy — Lachie Nicolson R.I.P
Sick
We remember in our prayers at Mass this weekend Betty Campbell who is in the Belford hospital. Thank God, she is making good
progress, and we pray that her recovery may be quick and complete, and that she may soon be allowed to return home to continue her
convalescence.
We also remember Willie MacKintosh in Invernevis House who is terminally ill and very weak, and is now in God’s hands.
We also pray for Katie, his sister, that God will comfort her in her anxiety for her brother.
