Bulletin Collection comes to £319
My sincere thanks for your generous response to the collection towards the cost of printing the Bulletin, which came to £319. This will
be a considerable help in meet the monthly bill from the printers. God bless you for your goodness. I am always grateful for any news
you may have that may be of interest to our parishioners.
This month’s copy of The Braes has a number of excellent local photographs, most of them taken by our resident very competent
photographer, Margaret Sargent. The new editorial team are doing a very good job supplying us up todate with all the local news.
The front and back pages are always so attractive when printed in colour. We would love to print the Bulletin in colour each week,
but, although Printsmith are very reasonable with their costs, we would have to win the lottery first!
Bulletin printing back to normal
For the past two weekends, I reverted to printing the Bulletin on the parish photocopier, and although the results were quite acceptable,
they were not nearly so good as the copies printed by Printsmith on their special machine and using a superior semi-gloss paper.
Justice & Peace Collection next Sunday
This collection should have been taken up on the feast of the Epiphany, but parishioners will have the opportunity of contributing to it
next weekend. The hierarchy distributes it among several important commissions which play a part in the Church in Scotland, as well
as giving a percentage to the Justice and Peace commission.
