Formation of a Parish Finance Committee.
If anyone is willing to serve on our parish Finance Committee would they please let me know by next weekend so that a
committee may be formed according to the new guidelines given to us by the Bishop and the Diocesan Treasurer.
The above information has been put together by the diocesan Finance Board Committee under the guidance of the treasurer and
the bishop so that it conforms to the Canon Law of the Church, and is to be implemented in every parish.
When the bishop makes his next pastoral visit to the parishes of the diocese, he will meet the members of each parish committee
to discuss with them the finances of the parish and also the diocesan finances for he needs all the help he can receive to meet the
increased expenditure.
On another page you will see a brief résumé of the ongoing Diocesan Expenditure which will require the help and support of
every parish to assure that the diocese is in good financial health. The monthly Levy is now 20% on all parish offertory
collections. Our parish will now contribute £401 per month to the diocese.
