The Chrism Mass in Oban on Wednesday evening was a wonderful occasion with all but two of all our diocesan priests present. It
was a very beautiful ceremony enhanced by the liturgy and the magnificent music supplied by the diocesan choir. It was good to see
a number of our own parishioners present for the mass. The bishop gave an excellent sermon, and it was obvious that there was a
great sense of loyalty of the priests and faithful gathered round their bishop, the centre of unity of the diocese.
Among the clergy was Fr Colin MacInnes who had just returned from his incredible missionary work in South America where he has
laboured for the past 26 years. He is home for medical treatment.
We wish all the staff and children a very happy and blessed Easter, and may they have a relaxed
and enjoyable holiday with plenty of sunshine!
The daffodils always seem to manage to blossom for Easter, although this year they were nearly
caught out because of the severe winter. We look forward to seeing waves of their yellow heads
—a sign of spring and new life entering into the world again!
