Sex is no longer sacred,  something beautiful, crafted specially by God to be shared in the  bond of marriage. True love, as God designed it, is not a taking   but a giving of oneself to the another in generosity and love. St.  John tells us that God is love, and in marriage this is an act of  love, not only to each other, but also to God who blesses and  consecrates this union. It is all according to his divine will so  that a couple can share in his creative powers. The fruits of their  love is transformed into flesh and blood at the birth of their  children. The grace of the sacrament of marriage binds a couple  so close together, that they are truly one in mind, heart and body.  As well as being the means by which God’s family increases on   earth, it is also a gift given by God to the  couple for their  comfort and to express the closeness and sacredness of their  love.  It is only in this context that sex has its true value before God.  The world no longer respects God’s will, and the beautiful gift of  sex has been desecrated and brought down to the gutter. Lust  now permeates so much of our society, and many see each  other  only as only objects of pleasure. This has a disastrous effect on  family life and for many there is no longer a lasting commitment  in marriage, and couples so easily transfer their affections to  someone else. Society tries to corrupt our youth by treating sex as  some sort of  innocent sport. Some large city schools now have nurses  available to provide young children with all the knowledge and  essentials they require to have sex and avoid a pregnancies.  Should this fail, they are offered a termination.  Is there little wonder the depth of depravity to which our own  country has fallen?  The story of Maria Goretti is an inspiration for every age where  a child resisted the advances of a passionate young man and  gave her life as a result of this. It is something so beautiful and  inspiring as you will read     >>>>> St. Maria Goretti, July 6 (Tuesday) a virgin martyr for purity
