Peter is a brilliant composer and Anne is a very fine  lyricist, and it is a wonderful combination that has produced several exciting musicals commissioned by  the  World Wild Life   Fund.  One Sun One World is the latest in a distinguished line of WWF school musicals by Peter  and Ann. Their previous  works, all of which continue to be performed around the world to great acclaim, have focused on vital environmental and social  themes such as the destruction of rainforests (Yanomamo), rural-urban migration of people (African Jigsaw), the degradation of the  oceans (Ocean World) and the injustices which arise from international trade and debt (Arabica), and more.... The most recent was  One Sun One World, which took place in a packed Royal Albert Hall, London, last October with a cast of over 1,500 children, several  renowned soloists and a  professional orchestra. It was an immediate success and acclaimed by the press and media.      But Peter and Anne’s compositions are not limited to secular music as they have produced a very fine hymn book with beautiful  hymns. Some time ago, they composed a hymn in honour of Blessed Mary MacKillop, and it is  this hymn which is the choice of the  liturgical committee to be sung at the Papal Mass at Bellahouston Park on September 16th. It is indeed a great honour for Peter and  Anne, and also for our parish, since Peter is also  our organist.  It is entitled: Lord, I give my Life to You, .and we have sung it often here in St. Margaret’s, Roy Bridge. After the Papal Mass, which  will be televised world wide, we hope it will become a  favourite in Catholic churches all over the world—especially Australia.  Peter’s  Cille Choirill  Mass is sung regularly in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne.
