My sincere thanks to our wonderful Social Committee and helpers who organised another successful
Burns Supper. The hall was packed to capacity, and everyone was in great form. It
was nice to see so many people from all over the area who never miss our Burns
Suppers and who are a great support to us.
Raffle: The Raffle was a great success again because of the
amount of lovely prizes we received. The total for the tickets
sold was £451! I would like to thank everyone for their
kindness and generosity.
Donations: We also received a number of donations from
parishioners who were unable to come but wished to contribute to
the evening, and I am very grateful to them. My sincere thanks
also to Ian Wynne & Son, Butchers, for the annual gift of haggis
for the Burns Supper—a great taste!
Ceilidh: The ceilidh was most enjoyable with a variety of artists young and old who gave us superb
entertainment with their singing, dancing, violin playing and piping. Once again, we had the support of
the Lochaber Strathspey and Reel Society under the leadership of Sheena Fraser, and they received an enthusiastic
reception from the audience and filled the hall with their wonderful sound.
Dance: Iain Joseph and Malky were in great form, and their variety of the music had everyone up on the floor dancing to the early
hours of the morning
A final thank you to those who helped prepare the hall on Friday evening and returned on Sunday after mass to clear up and leave
everything tidy and clean
To you all my very sincere thanks, and may God bless you for all your support and kindness
