Computer Record
The record of all the income and expenditure in the parish is recorded each month on software specially designed for us by our
treasurer, Mr Roy Maxwell, a former executive of the Bank of Scotland. Once the bank statement for the month arrives, all the
details are entered into the computer. There are a large number of columns for the different entries, so that every item of income and
expenditure is accounted for.
The computer automatically adds up each column. At the end of the financial year, all the entries are recorded on a disc and sent to
the diocesan office.
This is so much easier from the old days when everything had to be hand written, and all the long calculations done on adding
machines.
Tickets for the Burns Supper—all gone!
As far as we know, all the tickets for the Burns Supper have been sold. They went very quickly and were snapped up within a few
days of being available from the Social Committee members. We are sorry if you are disappointed that you were unable to obtain
a ticket in time. We are limited to 140 at the function, and could have sold many more tickets.
