St Augustine’s Swing band
This is the band’s third visit from Blackburn to Roy Bridge, and they will use their long weekend here to put in
some practice for some important engagements later at home, and also enjoy the scenery and the peace of village
life.
As the Bulletin goes to the printers on Friday morning, we look forward with great anticipation to the concert with
the band and other artists on Saturday evening in Roy Bridge Hall.
Peter Rose was principal teacher of music at St. Augustine’s for many years and had an outstanding pupils’
choir and school orchestra which made several recordings, and performed in the Royal Albert Hall,
London.
