Charity registration No. SC002876   Sunday August 8th. 2010 Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Main Menu Notices 2 Page 4 Page 5 Notices Thank you for a wonderful weekend  to celebrate my 80th. birthday  met my family and relations on Saturday at noon, and after  mass in St. Mary’s, we gathered at my nephew’s home at St.  Andrew’s  where we had a lovely buffet and I was able to  meet so many of the family, some whom I had not seen for a while. Some of you may have seen their present to me of a  collection of photos from my baptism  through my student days to  my Golden Jubilee which was very cleverly put together on a  special canvas by Nick Simpson, Spean Bridge, who is a graphic  designer.  At Invergarry, on Sunday morning, as I arrived at the altar I was  greeted by the people with Happy Birthday.  At Roy Bridge,  we had a beautiful sung mass, which I appreciated  so much, and just before the blessing,  to my surprise a full bodied  congregation sang Happy Birthday. It was all very moving, and  thank you for your prayers and good wishes The invitation to Roy Bridge Hall was indeed a tremendous  celebration, and after being piped into the hall by Sean Cameron,  along with his uncle, Bishop Joe, I was delighted to welcome so  many of my parishioners and friends who came along to make it  such a happy evening. I was particularly grateful to Bishop Toal  for joining us as he had come directly from Mull where he had  been saying mass at Tobermory. I was very moved by the beautiful presents you gave me, one of  them again the work of Nick Simpson with photos of my student  days, one of me as a policeman from the Pirates of Penzance, and  as a young priest, accompanied by a very handsome monetary gift  presented by one of my altar girls, Francesca Rose,  which was  much too kind and generous of you.
