This gives the bishop the opportunity to bring up subjects for discussion. This year, the renovation of the Cathedral will be an important part of the meeting as the costs are likely to soar to over £500,000. The clergy will also discuss the Clerical Friendly Society, and the Society for Aged and Retired priests to decide what financial help can be offered. Anniversaries We remember in our prayers this weekend, our former parish priest, Mgr Hendry, who died on August 28, 2000, at the age of 87. The 11.30 am. mass on Sunday will be said for the repose of his soul. Fr John MacAulay, South Uist, who died on August 25, 2000, at the early age of 49. Mass was said for Fr Shaunney on Friday morning. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and may their priestly souls  rest in peace.
