This collection is of immense help to our bishop in his care for our priests who are no longer capable of active service in the diocese. At the moment, there are five priests who have retired through ill health or age: Fr. Michael Lea, Canon Joseph Terry, Canon John Angus MacDonald, Canon Ian MacMaster and Fr. Joe McShane Canon John Angus MacDonald, who had to retire from his parish in Kingussie because of a chronic health condition, had a major operation on Monday in Stirling Royal Infirmary. I phoned on Thursday, and he was still on the High Dependency Unit, but making good progress and will be back to Ward 26  within a few days. His address is:  Stirling Royal Infirmary. Ward 26, Livilands, Stirling FK8 2AU. I am sure he would appreciate a card from his many friends with the assurance of our prayers for his speedy recovery He will be remembered in all our masses and prayers at the weekend. Anniversaries We remember in our prayers at mass this weekend, Jessie Nicholson, whose anniversary is at this time. Mass will be said for her on Saturday evening.  Monthly Holy Hour Our next Holy Hour will on Wednesday, August 11th, feast of St. Clare, who was a follower of St Francis. She founded a monastery for nuns at Assisi, close to the monastery built by St. Francis for his friars.
