Irish “Miracle” attributed to Blessed Mary MacKillop
A possible miraculous healing attributed to Blessed Mary MacKillop could advance her Cause for
canonisation. Irishman David Keohane lay in a coma for eight months after being "bashed on a Sydney
street" last August, according to the Australian newspaper The Age. The 29year-old flooring contractor
was flown home to Cork last September and regained consciousness on St Patrick's Day. His family had
prayed every day to Blessed Mary MacKillop and attribute his healing to her intercession.  Mary was
beatified in 1995 after the Church found she had cured a woman of leukaemiaWe pray that this
“miracle”, along with other cases that have been cited, may be sufficient for Mary’s cause of canonisation
to be accepted by the Church.
New offertory envelopes begin this weekend
–20 envelopes short!
Please obtain your envelope from the boxes at the back of the church so that you can use them
this weekend.
Unfortunately. our suppliers made a mistake in the repeat order, and we are two boxes
short. This means about twenty parishioners will not get their envelopes until next
weekend. I apologise about this error, but the firm has promised we will have the
missing envelopes by Monday morning.
If you did not receive an envelope this week, please put your offerings in  a plain envelope
with your name. address and number. This weekend there are two collections, the extra one is
for the Education of Students for the Priesthood.
