Mindful of God the Father’s complete trust, with great confidence we call upon him in our needs.

We pray for our Holy Father, Pope Benedict, our Bishop Joseph, and all the bishops of the Church that they may inspire faith and trust in God amidst the difficulties of life.  Lord, hear us.

We pray for those who have problems with their faith that they may have their doubts removed and replaced with a deeper understanding of God’s love.  Lord, hear us.

We pray for all those who may be suffering because of the world financial situation—business people, those who have been made redundant, many with mortgages to pay, the retired and elderly who have seen their life savings
dwindle to nothing. May the power of the Holy Spirit bring peace and order to the world of finance once again, and guide and comfort  those who suffer injustice. Lord, hear us.

We pray for the sick and housebound in our community. May God grant them the assurance of his love and presence in their lives. especially during these days of Lent.  Lord,  hear us.

We pray for those who died recently, especially Ann MacKintosh, Corran,
for those whose anniversaries may be at this time, and for all our loved ones, that they may enjoy the vision of God in heaven for all eternity.
Lord, hear us.

We commend these intentions to the prayers of our Blessed Lady, Queen of heaven.

Heavenly Father, increase our faith as we make  our journey through the
difficulties of life. Help us to recognise your presence with the people with whom we live, and your hand in every day events. We make our prayer through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
