Back to work again!
I hope to return to the parish this coming week, and it will be great to be back again and pick up where I left off on January 19th.— eight weeks ago. Thankfully, the operation for a new knee joint seems to have been very successful, and I have much more ability now, but it takes from 3—6 months to get back to normal again. By then, I’ll be ready for the line dancing!
Once again, my sincere thanks for the masses and prayers which I am sure helped my progress immensely, and also for the cards and messages of good wishes which were very much appreciated.
I am grateful to Fr. Campbell for supplying last weekend, and to Fr. Basil Lofthouse who will attend to all the masses this weekend.
Fr Basil has been here before, so he will be known to our parishioners. He was in the Vatican diplomatic service before retiring, and since then has rarely had a weekend free as he is so much in demand to help out in parishes in the Aberdeen and Argyll dioceses, a service which he gives so willingly.
Clocks go forward one hour next weekend
Don’t’ forget to put your clocks one hour forward next weekend. Let’s hope that the weather recognises that Spring is officially here, and provides us with plenty of sunshine to cheer us up after a long winter!
Weekday Masses and Station of the Cross
I am grateful to our Eucharistic Ministers for providing Eucharistic services in place of mass, which allow parishioners to go to Holy Communion during the week, and also for leading the congregation in the Stations of the Cross on Sundays and Wednesdays.
