Fr Ted Murphy’s first anniversary is on Monday, June 8th, and the
10 a.m. mass will be said for the repose of his soul. A number of his family hope to be present, and some
members from his last parish may travel from the Hexham and Newcastle diocese to join in the mass.
It would be nice if a number of our own parishioners could also be present.
Mary Watt, Inverroy. whose anniversary is on Saturday, June 6th, and for whom the vigil mass will be said
in St. Joseph’s on Saturday evening.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord….
As a result of parishioners signing a Gift Aid form, the parish has
reclaimed from the Inland Revenue this year
For every £1 contributed by a parishioner who pays tax on his/her income, the Inland Revenue returns
28p, and so your gift becomes £1.28.
I am very grateful to the parishioners who have taken the trouble to sign a Gift Aid form. It takes only
a few minutes, at no cost whatsoever to themselves, and the Church can gain immensely, as the
above figure proves!
There are still some parishioners who have not yet signed a Gift Aid form, and this is such a pity
as the parish could gain so much extra from their contributions - at no expense to themselves!
