Sunday June 28th. 2009
Twelve of our children and two adults were confirmed by
bishop Joseph on Saturday evening, and two of the adults also
made their First Holy Communion.
I am grateful to Margaret Muncie and to Catrina MacDonald
for all the time they gave each Monday afternoon over the past
few months, when school was finished, to prepare the children
to receive the sacrament of confirmation.
It is such a joy to see our children make progress in their faith
and receive another sacrament to help prepare them for their
first Holy Communion in the autumn.
We are also delighted to welcome our own bishop Joseph back
to Roy Bridge, and it makes the sacrament something very
special to be administered  by one of our own who is now
privileged with the office of bishop
Ecuador
There is a basket at the back of the church for all the weekend
masses if you would like to contribute to the gift from the
diocese that Bishop Joseph will bring to Fr Colin MacInnes
when he visits him in Ecuador next week to bless his new
church.
