Lochaber School Winners of six aside MacAuly cup in Oban

Teams from all over the country took part in the six-aaside MacAulay Cup in Oban last Saturday when the organisers oversaw 116 games
contested by 44 teams.  Lochaber  played exciting shinty, managing to win through all their matches to the final in their ten matches
They reached the final against Kingussie, who had a superb strong team. It was somehow taken for granted that Kingussie would be the winners,
yet within a few minutes,  Lochaber had scored four goals, winning the match 4—1 to tremendous cheers and great excitement.
As well as the team being presented with the cup, Ryan Latto was received a special presentation caman, made by Colonel Hector Campbell, to
mark the 25th year of the tournament. and Shanon MacDonald a Quaich, as both were declared the outstanding players of the match. The team
have brought pride to Lochaber having beaten so many other teams on the way to the final.  
The cup was presented by sponsors of the game, solicitor Duncan MacPhee of MacPhee and Partners, Fort William.
