This year the Feast of All Saints is simply a day of devotion and not a holyday of obligation since it falls on a Saturday.
It is always a special day when we remember those who have gone before us and are now enjoying the fruits of their labours on this earth by being numbered among the angels and saints gathered round Our Lady, Queen of heaven. I hope as many as possible will honour the feast of All Saints by coming to mass on Saturday morning.

This year, the Commemoration of All Souls falls on a Sunday, which makes the final mass of the year at Cille Choirill very special for those with loved ones lying at rest in the hallowed ground.
I would be grateful if you would let family and relations living at a distance know about the mass next Sunday at Cille Choirill.
My sincere thanks to Sandy and Ann MacKintosh for preparing the church so beautifully for all the masses over the past year, and to Donnie Kennedy for supplying the generator for the lighting.

Anniversaries
We remember those whose anniversaries are at this time: Donnie MacKintosh,  Stronaba, for whom mass will be said on Sunday, Mary MacKillop, Joseph Toal  and John MacLeod.    `        Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord

All the parishes in the diocese will have a second collection next Sunday. This will be our opportunity to show our gratitude to Bishop Ian on his retirement for all the great work he did  during the nine years he was our bishop. He   

leaves the diocese in great  shape and financially sound for his successor. I know everyone will show their  appreciation. for all he has done for us.

Envelopes for the November Lists can be found at the back of the church. Please put your list in the envelopes and return them by the beginning of November. Mass will be said for these Holy Souls throughout the month.
