Anniversaries
We remember in our prayers this weekend those who anniversaries are at this time:
Charles Toal, for whom mass was said on Tuesday,
Angus MacIntosh, whose anniversary is this Sunday and for whom the 11.30 a.m. mass will be said.
Ann Lucas for whom mass was said last week
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord
Cushioned kneelers
When I visited St. John’s in Perth last January, I was impressed by the cushioned kneelers that had just been fitted for the centenary of the church by a Blairgowrie firm. It took some time to find them and arrange for the work to be carried out. They arrived on Tuesday.
As mentioned in a previous Bulletin, Joe Beattie left a gift to the church in his will to be used for the congregation, and I am sure Joe will be very happy in heaven to know that we are now very comfortable as we kneel to say our prayers.
Masses have been said for his eternal rest.
Mary’s Meals—final total £ 2,350
Extra donations were handed in since the fund-raising evening, which has increased the total now to the magnificent sum of £2,350. The money has been transferred through the Royal Bank of Scotland to Mary’s Meals account, and Magnus MacFarlane– Barrow is tremendously grateful and encouraged by the support he has received from our parish.
