Uncorking the champagne !

This is a photograph we thought we would never see—celebrating the saving of Roy Bridge school! On behalf of the parents’ committee, Marie Claire Russell pays tribute to all the councillors, and in particular to our three Highland ward councillors, Provost Allan Henderson, Bill Clark and Eddie Hunter, and also to Maxine Smith, Cromarty, John Finnie, and Fergus Ewing MSP, for their tremendous support throughout the campaign.

The parents of the children, the Roy Bridge community, and also Spean Bridge community, who gave great support,  are all delighted. An earlier decision by the previous Highland Council was proved to be wrong, because the new administration was not afraid to oppose it.

Well done, everyone. Hope there was enough champagne to fill all the glasses!
