Roof of St. Joseph’s  (Spean Bridge) to be replaced.

It is a sad reflection on the past design that St. Joseph’s church, which is only forty years old, has to have its roof replaced. The contract has been awarded by the Diocesan Finance Board to R.E. Campbell (Joinery) Ltd, Spean Bridge, who have done an immense amount of research work over the past year to assure that they can provide the best possible  solution to solve the condensation problem. It is a new system by Decra of West Sussex, well tested on other roofs, and  has its own specially designed insulation.

However, in his most recent research, Roddy Campbell has discovered a new form of thermal slab which, when added to the design, will be even more effective as an insulation. This will allow a clear through-flow of air, which will prevent condensation, and will also help to retain the heat within the building. It has added to the cost of the replacement, but the extra seems very much worth while because of its modern insulation qualities.   >>>>>>>>>>
