We are approaching the end of the tax year, and the beginning of a new one.
Only 48 parishioners who pay tax have signed a Gift Aid form.
Have you signed a Gift Aid Form?
If you pay tax, and have your own weekly offering envelope, or, perhaps, make a donation to the parish, this can all be Gift Aided if you simply sign a form. You need do nothing else. Every £1 you give, we receive and extra 28p from the Inland Revenue. For example, if your giving comes to £200 a year, then it will increase to £256. Last year, the parish received £3,500 back from the Inland Revenue!
The Inland Revenue encourages parishes to gift aid contributions of parishioners who pay tax. It is their way of helping the Church with the important work it does in the community.
Next week, we will try to encourage every tax payer in the parish to sign a Gift Aid form.

The Third Sunday after Easter, April 11th, is know as Good Shepherd Sunday, and a letter will be read out from the bishop reminding us of the importance of praying for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. The situation is now becoming very urgent as the only candidate for our diocese will be ordained in three years time, and after that there is no one!
