Last Saturday, the transferred feast of St. Joseph, the parishioners of St. John’s, Caol, gathered for mass to celebrate Sister Audrey’s fifty years as a religious of St. Joseph, the order founded by Blessed Mary MacKillop. The mass was concelebrated by Fr Roddy and Fr Tom, and was a truly joyful occasion, with the music supplied by the parish musicians to support the singing.
Afterwards, Sister Teresa, who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, invited everyone back to the convent house to continue the celebrations with Sister Audrey, where tea and an abundance of food was supplied, and we all had a piece of the Golden Jubilee cake.
We thank God for all the devoted years of service which Sister Audrey has given to God and the Church, following closely in the footsteps of Blessed Mary, and we pray that He may continue to bless her with renewed health and strength for many more years. Congratulations, sister!
