Sunday March 23rd.

St. Margaret’s, St. Joseph’s & St. Finnan’s
Weekly Bulletin

Anniversaries
We remember in our prayers at mass this weekend: Angus and Catriona MacDonald, parents of Ishbel Wilson, for whom mass was said on Wednesday on their anniversaries
Also Betty Shury, sister of Jimmy Keenan, for whom mass will be said on Easter Monday.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.

Welcome Home
Mark and Clare Reynolds (Sargent) arrive in Roy Bridge this week with their baby daughter, Chloe Margaret, who will be baptised next Sunday. It will a day of great rejoicing for all the family and their many relations and friends, and also an opportunity to thank God for his goodness in assuring that both mother and baby are now so well after Chloe Margaret’s dramatic  entry into the world.
British summer time begins next weekend, so don’t forget to put your clocks forward an hour to ensure that you are in good time for Sunday mass! Let’s hope that with the change of the clocks there will come a change in the weather  so that it truly will be summer time, with lots of sunshine -  a very scarce commodity in the West Highlands!
Thank you  - Maureen McSherry
Maureen would like to thank everyone through the Bulletin for their prayers, masses, cards and good wishes while she was in hospital. She is most grateful to everyone for all the kindness she received.
She was in great form on St. Patrick’s Day—suitably dressed for the occasion, and celebrated it by receiving our Lord in Holy Communion.
She is well looked after by her daughter Maureen, and is making excellent progress. We continue to remember her in our prayers.
School Easter Holidays
We wish all the staff and children at Roy Bridge and Spean Bridge schools a very happy Easter break  - and lots of Easter eggs!
For the pupils in 4th –6th year in Lochaber High School, they have the dreaded Standard Grade and Higher examinations ahead of them in a few weeks time. However, I am sure they will still find time to relax as well as putting in a few hours of extra study. We wish them all the very best.
100 Club
WE would like to thank everyone who responded to last week’s appeal in the bulletin for members to renew their subscription to the 100 Club. Quite a number kindly sent in their subscription, and this has increased the amount in our bank account quite considerably. If you have still not renewed your subscription, Ishbel Campbell, the treasurer, will be delighted to receive it.
Ishbel has made out receipts for everyone who has contributed to the 100 club, and these can be obtained at the back of the church.

The latest price for heating oil is 50p per litre!
Thankfully our tanks were all filled at the beginning of December when the price was 39p per litre, so the saving
Holy Week and Easter
My grateful thanks to all who took part in the Holy week and Easter liturgies—the readers, choir and organist and those who decorated the churches so beautifully with flowers at St. Joseph’s  and St. Margaret’s, and provided clean linen for the altars.
As always, the music was special for the liturgies of Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday, and helped to convey the beauty of these services which have so many graces attached to them.
May God bless you all for helping to make these important days of the Church’s year so special for us all.
