Baptism
Lauren Alex Jones, daughter of Kenneth and Elaine Jones, was baptised last Sunday in St. Margaret’s. We welcome her into the Church, the Body of Christ, as its newest member in our parish. Her godparents were Janet Jones and Angela MacKay, both aunts. There was a real family turn-out for her christening!
Lauren Alex is a beautiful baby, and we wish her every blessing throughout a long and happy life. She has already brought great joy to all her family and many relations, and she is a firm favourite already of her brother Aaron!

May 8th, 1945 was VE Day, the end of World War 11 in Europe.  Perhaps the day augurs well  with victory for the Roy Bridge Primary School when the General Council of the Highland Region meets on that same date ?
An immense amount of work by Marie Claire Russell and her committee has gone into preparing for this meeting, and the support of the SNP and Independent councillors has been promised, along with that of our own Lochaber Councillors who have been so helpful and encouraging.
Our local Community Council has also been most supportive, for they see the retention of Roy Bridge School as a benefit to both communities.
I ask our parishioners to remember the school in their prayers for a successful outcome at the at the meeting.
Decision on Roy Bridge School—Thursday May 8th
Who better to have on our side than Blessed Mary MacKillop whose whole life was dedicated to the education of children. She worked a “miracle” for us the very first time when the school was in danger of being closed, and hit the headlines of the national press. Who knows but she will listen to our prayers and plead  our cause in heaven ?
